Adele Oliveira (formerly Adele Melander-Dayton) is a writer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. A former general assignment reporter at The Santa Fe New Mexican, Adele has written for Kirkus Reviews, Marie Claire, Salon, Narratively, Jezebel, Bitch Magazine, Longreads, and other publications. She has a BA in English from Vassar College, an MA in journalism from New York University's Cultural Reporting and Criticism program, and an MFA in creative writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts. Raised in Santa Fe, Adele returned to New Mexico in 2012, where she lives with her husband and two children.
